Our terroir

Gascony, where BLANCHE begins.

In Mauléon-d’Armagnac, in the heart of Bas-Armagnac, the landscape combines vines, woodland and the typical soils of the Landes de Gascogne. This is where Cloud & Clet does its work: production tied to its land and turned towards a contemporary expression of Armagnac.

The soils

Bas-Armagnac is known in particular for its tawny sands, which shape the wine-growing identity of the area. The link between plots, the grape varieties grown and winemaking choices is at the heart of how the house crafts its eaux-de-vie.

The gestures

Know-how is more than technique. It also relies on watching the vines, following the wines, knowing the alembic and taking care over blends. BLANCHE expresses this continuity in a deliberately pared-back style.

A house of today

Cloud & Clet sets out to present Armagnac in a contemporary light while staying rooted in Gascony. The white and yellow BLANCHE bottle gives this intention an instantly recognisable form.
